pediatric neurologist, Dr. James Tonsgard is an expert in epilepsy and
seizures, neurofibromatosis, and tuberous sclerosis. He also specializes in
mental retardation and metabolic brain disease.
Dr.
Tonsgard is an active researcher and is studying various biochemical
processes that may affect neurological diseases. He is also interested in
research related to neurofibromatosis.
Dr. Tonsgard has written the 2nd Edition of "Understanding
Neurofibromatosis: An Introduction for Patients and Parents" published by
Illinois Neurofibromatosis, Inc. and the University of Chicago.
