Membership is very important to give a strong voice to individuals and families devoted to finding a cure for Neurofibromatosis.  The unity of NF Inc. Minnesota members helps to achieve improvements in the lives of individuals with Neurofibromatosis.  NF Inc. Minnesota members enjoy valuable benefits such as:

  • Invitations to NF Inc. Minnesota sponsored member meetings, workshops and events
  • Keeping informed on the latest research and opportunities available through NF Inc.
  • Access to the National NF Inc. website which includes a Minnesota chapter bulletin board
  • Voting privileges on important organizational issues
  • Access to the network of national NF chapters

The best way to keep informed on research, relevant issues and opportunities available on Neurofibromatosis is through membership.  To continue to provide information, education and support to individuals and families with NF, the medical community and the general public, we need you!  As an active member of NF Inc. Minnesota, you can make a difference and keep the research momentum moving forward so that some day there will be a cure.

  • In 2002, NF Inc. Minnesota donated $5,000 for NF research performed at the                                                Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
  • In 2003, NF Inc. Minnesota joined the Illinois NF Inc. chapter to fund a grant request for $30,000                       to the Mayo Clinic.
  • In 2004, NF Inc. Minnesota gave a $7,500 research grant to Dr. George DeVries fro research on Neurofibromin lost in NF Type 1.
  • In 2004, 2005 and 2006, NF Inc. Minnesota supported Camp New Friends with a $1,000 scholarship to the Mid-Atlantic NF chapter.
  • In 2006, Dr. Dusica Babovic-Vuksanovic's manuscript with results of Phase II Trail of Pirfenidone in Adults with NF1 was published in the journal "Neurology" with NF Inc. Minnesota acknowledge on the front page for support of the research.
