It is the policy of NF Inc. Minnesota to grant financial assistance to an individual in need to allow that person to attend a conference on topics or issues related to NF.  Examples of such grants include but are not limited expenses such as registration, travel, lodging, etc. related to the conference.  Board members who have applied for such assistance must abstain from the decision making process.  All decisions of the Board are final.

Conference Grant Criteria

1. The individual must be a current member of NF Inc. Minnesota.
2. Request for financial assistance must be made in writing on the appropriate form.
3. The conference must be relevant to issues and topics regarding NF.
4. An individual may only receive one conference grant per year.
5. The amount of the conference grant may not exceed $350.  The specific amount of the grant will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
6. Individual must demonstrate financial need for the conference grant and have made reasonable attempts to secure scholarships if available from other sources.
7. Individuals who receive conference grants are required to provide documentation on how the money was spent.

It is the policy of NF Inc. Minnesota to grant financial assistance to individuals or to family member with NF to assist with issues or emergencies related to NF.  Examples of grants include but are not limited to transportation or lodging costs associated with treatment or diagnosis, special equipment, therapies, etc.  Board members who have applied for such assistance must abstain from the decision making process.  All decisions of the Board are final.

Individual and Family Support Grant Criteria

1. The individual must be a current member of NF Inc. Minnesota.
2. Request for financial assistance must be made in writing on the appropriate form.
3. Individuals and families must indicate the purpose for the financial assistance on the application form.
4. Financial assistance will be granted after exhausting all other reasonable options including third party insurance coverage.
5. Individuals and families are only eligible to receive one support grant within a 12 month period.
6. The amount of the support grant may not exceed $500.  The specific amount will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
7. Individuals who receive conference grants are required to provide documentation on how the money was spent.

It is the policy of NF Inc. Minnesota to grant financial assistance to attend certain camps to those individuals who request assistance and meet the following criteria.  Board members who have a pending application shall abstain from the decision making process. All decisions of the Board of Directors are final.

Campership Grant Criteria

1. The family or individual making the request must be a current member of NF Inc. Minnesota.
2. Request for financial assistance must be made by filling out and sending appropriate application form by the established deadline.
3. Camps must be either a camp designed specifically for persons with NF or a special camp for individuals with disabilities or health issues.
4. Family or individuals need to state the reason for needing financial assistance on the application.
5. Families/Individuals are eligible for only one campership per year.
6. The amount of the campership will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
